YET ANOTHER ATTACK ON FREE ANIMALS COMING ON THE CHARLES RIVER?

Boston.com, at https://www.boston.com/news/local-news/2022/03/29/unhoused-man-attacks-wbz-tv-cameraman-cambridge-city-councilor/?p1=recirc_mostpopular reports a Cambridge City Councilor was attacked by a homeless man while being interviewed by a WBZ reporter.

The report states that Boston’s “clean up” of a homeless encampment near Boston City Hospital has increased the homeless population in Cambridge.

The report states: “[Cambridge City Councilor Marc] McGovern told WBZ unhoused people have flocked to Cambridge since Boston’s sweep of the encampment in the area known as Mass. and Cass months ago. . . .

“. . .WBZ said, tents are appearing in new areas, such as the banks along the Cambridge side of the Charles River.”

That waives all sort of flags.  The powers that be have a striking tendency to attack resident animals ancillary to whatever the latest excuse is.

POSTSCRIPT

I have made the key point relevant to this page.  On the Cambridge Town Hall Facebook page, Corina Hall quoted Marc from his Facebook page.  I am trying to edit the comments down to the substance of the attack:

“ . . .an unhoused man, who appeared to be having a mental health episode, tried to punch me. I was able to block his attempt and he did not make contact, nor was I hurt.
. . .

“The man proceeded to walk into Central Square, where he pushed down at least one other person. The Cambridge Police were called and were able to calm the man down and an ambulance brought him to Cambridge Hospital for evaluation. The Cambridge Police handled the situation professionally and with compassion.”
