The following letter was submitted to the City Manager on April 18, 2018, and received by the Cambridge City Council on April 23, 2018.
I have been decidedly tied up with other matters and not able to publish this, rather skillful analysis of the situation and the outrages at Magazine Beach.
Nevertheless, given the posts since this letter was submitted to City Manager and (for the City Council) City Clerk on April 18, 2018, public presentation at this time is timely.

1. Fake Protectors and “Professionals” Ramp up the Flim Flam.
The real, under lying purpose of flim flam from the Fake Protectors and worse is to get the rubes looking at everything except for what is important. So we will discuss the important stuff first, and eventually get on to the flim flam. DCR stands for the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation.
2. What the Cambridge City Council should be doing.
This is the most important stuff for the Fake Protectors to keep secret from the rubes. So we will do it first.
The Cambridge City Council should give us honesty in government.
Stop lying that the City Council is pro environment, or change sides to the side it claims to be on.
To be specific, we request that, consistent with repeated expression of environmental concerns by THE CAMBRIDGE CITY COUNCIL, the following actions be taken:
A Retract and rescind the City Council’s action on April 24, 2017, in order 1, supporting the destruction of 56 mostly excellent trees and related outrages in the Magazine Beach recreation area.
B. Trash the Department of Conservation and Recreation as manager of all properties under its jurisdiction in Cambridge in favor of replacement by the Department of Transportation.
C. End the environmental outrages planned by the DCR and Cambridge and reverse, insofar as feasible, the many outrages accomplished by the DCR, Cambridge and related entities from November 1, 1999, to the current date.
3. Limited samples of outrages being hidden.

The video includes more than 100 graphics with before and after pictures, and MARKINGS IDENTIFYING DESTRUCTION. VAST EMPTY SPACES in the pictures presented on these pages WERE FORMERLY EXCELLENT TREES. Hundreds of mostly excellent trees were destroyed. Negative comments in the video against the City Manager refer to the preceding City Manager, the third member of the destructive three member City Manager regency which dated back to 1974.

The latest big lie about money was sneaked past well intentioned people in a “public process.” That lie was that Cambridge, the DCR and friends were creating a “NEW DOCK” on the Charles River. In responding, we must recognize that we are listening to yet more lies from people with long histories of lies, so we may not yet fully understand the scope of this latest fraud.
The most cynical part of the recent outrages was the use of well meaning people who were proud of defending the environment, but, in reality those average folks were lied to as to what they were doing so what they did was just part of yet another con game.
Here, from a few days ago, is the work that volunteers did to clean up vegetation from around the “NEW DOCK.”
Usual flat out lie from the DCR, Cambridge Development Department and the Fake Protectors. They conned well meaning people into work with the lie that they were doing something good for the environment.
Clearly, all these great sounds are lying that bringing back the boat dock of the 20th Century IS CREATING A NEW BOAT DOCK. The scary thing, however is that the DCR ALWAYS includes terrible things attacking resident animals. What terrible thing this time? It will be accomplished with maximum secrecy until it is “too late.”
It is always so difficult to straighten out and respond to the ever present lies. The LOWERING of the publicly hated Starvation Wall may TEMPORARILY recreate the view of the BU Bridge. The walling off of the Charles River from resident animals is not impacted.
Here is the official depiction, apparently shown to everybody who voted for funds.
First of all, realizing that the “NEW” boat dock is just the usual flat out lie, this structure looks like it could be yet another major obstacle.
The area with LOWERED Starvation Wall does not seem to be this large. And it is highly likely that the DCR will not remove the roots. However, given all the lying, the DCR could possibly be removing the roots.
It the DCR does remove the roots, that will prove yet another lie as a flat out lie. This particular lie is the constant proclamation that the DCR cannot do anything about the hated starvation wall.
If they do not remove the roots, the lie is that this place will be open as presented. Given another six years (the time between the earlier photos from 2006 and 2012/13), the hated Starvation Wall will be back, even blocking the view of the Charles in this TINY portion of the massive Starvation Wall. The Starvation Wall was constructed based on the promise that it would be a “LAWN TO THE RIVER.” Just more lies.
The first change in this series of outrages created the bridge over the introduced pond, . The Charles River White Geese loved the pond and went through it to get to their home and feeding grounds of most of the past 37 years. So that “had to go.” After all, the DCR, WITH CAMBRIDGE SUPPORT has a policy of killing off or driving away all resident animals from this part of the Charles River.
The introduced pond was replaced with an introduced wetland.
It would appear from the depiction on page 7 [ed: immediately previous photo] AND THE REALITY ON THE GROUND TO DATE that the Development Department / DCR / CITY COUNCIL are working to destroy the introduced wetland. And get rid of the introduced bridge.
City Council is included because: IF it is an outrage, and YOU DO NOT WANT TO KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING, YOU DID IT.
So, unless there is something we are unaware of, the lies about a “NEW BOAT DOCK” are, as usual, lies.
[Ed: The Cambridge City Manager, in his 2019 fiscal year budget, commented that the dock construction is a renovation.]
The Starvation Wall should be destroyed including the roots, from the MWRA property to the excellent Willow that the City Council and DCR want to destroy. Anything less is unacceptable and typical Cambridge corrupt practices.
The DCR admits that the Starvation Wall is hated by a public which expects to see the Charles River from the banks of the Charles River.
The Starvation Wall has no meaningful purpose except to the keep the beloved Charles River White Geese from their home and food of most of the last 37 years
The same Fake Protectors who led this project, are dumping the poisons into the Charles River.
The same Fake Protectors run a Company Union operation, along with more direct actions, by which they helped destroy hundreds of trees and animal habitat between the BU and Longfellow Bridges.
The same Fake Protectors are fighting for the next massive destruction using Company Union tactics including flat out lying about what they are fighting for, and censorship, insofar as possible, of the terrible things they, and the Cambridge City Council, are now working for.
The same Fake Protectors, after the love fest on the stairs of Cambridge City Hall on April 24, 2017, bragged to, those around them that they were fighting for order 1 of April 24, 2017, and encouraged well intended people to support that outrage.
Naturally, these same Fake Protectors kept the very terrible reality of Order 1 secret from these latest rubes, and from the well intentioned rubes they suckered into supporting communications to the Cambridge City Council.
Company Union fraud, dirty tricks, censorship, and whatever other corrupt behavior works. That is the game in this community. This community demands a responsible government but honest communication of incumbent behavior can get incumbents unelected. Failure of reelection was the fate of at least one and perhaps two city councilors who named the Cambridge Police Station after that City Manager condemned by three levels of court for destroying the life of a Black, Cape Verdean Female Department Head because she had the nerve to fight for Women’s Rights in front of a municipal government which loudly proclaims its support for women’s rights1.
5. The latest fear - the start of reprehensible destruction.
The Cambridge City Council, in order 1 of April 24, 2017, voted to destroy 56 mostly excellent trees at Magazine Beach, more than half them in the excellent park on the hill. The description in the whereas’s took skillful word game fraud from the DCR and turned it into an absolute “TRUTH,” in reality, a massive lie, “dead or dying,” as demonstrated in detail in our June 6, 2017, 51 page letter with over a hundred graphics.
That analysis is posted by the Cambridge City Clerk at http://cambridgema.iqm2.com/Citizens/FileOpen.aspx?Type=1&ID=1815&Inline=True, pages 198 to 249. Individual copies were provided to the City Manager by DVD and to each member of the City Council by DVD.
For the benefit of the confused, whether in reality or by sham, here are copies of the 19 pages (of the 51 pages in total) which concern the park which is targeted for most of this massive and irresponsible destruction, and for which we have had particular concern in recent weeks.
We would be pleased to further provide DVD’s of the original letter for those City Councilors who wish.

The balance of the 51 page letter plus subsequent communications elaborated and clarified the outrage supported by Order 1 of April 24, 2017. And Order 1 followed on City Councilors leading a rally for their own supposed environmental sainthood on the stairs of City Hall. The silence since our June 6, 2017 letter, combined with non stop yelling at the other guy, reaffirms the outrage, especially when observed in conjunction with that self-proclamation of environmental sainthood.

The Fake Protectors on behalf of the DCR and Cambridge
are rerouting poisons being dumped on Magazine Beach
into the Charles River. They are doing this by blocking
up the drainage system created to allow introduction of
those poisons onto Magazine Beach on the banks of the
Charles by keeping those poisons which should not even
be used on the banks of the Charles out of the Charles.
New poisoning scheduled to last for two years. City
Council silent when informed (with a wink and a nod).
Standard flim flam technique: story keeps changing.
This magnificent grove of 10 trees in the hill area dominates
the western view from the playing fields. A tiny percentage of
the 10 trees are dead. The DCR and City Council play games
with numbers. Only safe interpretation: ALL are doomed.
Standard lie: DCR claims only 3 in the grove, not 10 trees. So
by destroying what normal human beings would call 10 trees
the DCR lie with secret definition claims “ONLY 3" being
destroyed. In reality, 2 or 3 of the 10 might be responsibly
removed.
The City Council, DCR and friends want to destroy this
magnificent willow at the southwest end of the playing
fields and the southeast end of the hill west of the
playing fields.
The bulk of the 56 mostly excellent trees being destroyed are in
the magnificent park on the hill in the middle of the Magazine
Beach Recreation Area. At the end of this report, are presented
reduced copies of the 19 pages in our 6/6/17 letter which analyze
the Magazine Beach hill. There are “poor confused” people who
just “cannot recognize” the existence of that 51 pager.
The DCR admits that ALL of the SEVEN excellent
trees across from the MicroCenter parking lot are
healthy and excellent. They claim they are doing a
benefit by moving the parking lot on top of the trees.
The Magazine Beach recreation area is at the upper
right. I90, the Mass. Turnpike, is at the upper left.
The real prize is to build a ramp from I90 to the
Grand Junction Railroad Bridge (lower of the 2
bridges) and then provide a personal I90 exit to the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology (off photo, to
bottom right), with exit ramps to Memorial Drive
(showing on far right). Remaining goose habitat,
WITHOUT FOOD, is at bottom right.
This DCR destruction plan is marked with blue dots to
indicate entrances to Recreation Area being rearranged to
speed up traffic. The not stated purpose is to improve speed
for traffic from the I90 off ramp. The two dots in the center
are at either end of the little guys parking lot being destroyed
as part of the destruction of the park. The dot to the left of
them is the current entrance to another parking lot which
would be moved on top of the 7 excellent trees to create a
new curb cut across from the right of the two upper curb cuts
of the MicroCenter shopping center parking lot.
The Magazine Beach playing fields from I90 photo, a few
years ago. The doomed willow is the massive tree just to
the left of the playing fields on the river. The hill park is
the thick tree grouping toward the top and slightly left of
center. The Starvation Wall lines pretty much all of the
river front.

from feeding at their home for most of the last 37 years at Magazine Beach. Current flim flam cuts down a few
bushes on either side of the TINY opening before letting the bushes grow again. The Starvation Wall is hated
by the public. The public thinks it should be possible to see the Charles River from the banks of the Charles
River. So a few bushes are cut to lie to the public that DCR / Cambridge are behaving responsibly.

at the parking lot, and with the fact that it was not wide enough
and apparently not strong enough to hold vehicles.

The Cambridge City Council, in order 1 of April 24, 2017, voted to destroy 56 mostly excellent trees at Magazine Beach, more than half them in the excellent park on the hill. The description in the whereas’s took skillful word game fraud from the DCR and turned it into an absolute “TRUTH,” in reality, a massive lie, “dead or dying,” as demonstrated in detail in our June 6, 2017, 51 page letter with over a hundred graphics.
That analysis is posted by the Cambridge City Clerk at http://cambridgema.iqm2.com/Citizens/FileOpen.aspx?Type=1&ID=1815&Inline=True, pages 198 to 249. Individual copies were provided to the City Manager by DVD and to each member of the City Council by DVD.
For the benefit of the confused, whether in reality or by sham, here are copies of the 19 pages (of the 51 pages in total) which concern the park which is targeted for most of this massive and irresponsible destruction, and for which we have had particular concern in recent weeks.
We would be pleased to further provide DVD’s of the original letter for those City Councilors who wish.
[Ed. It was possible to fill three pages with JPEG copies of the 19 pages, and it makes an excellent impression. In this milieu, you would get 19 straight PDF's which would simply take up room. The pages which were reproduced for the Cambridge City Council are included in the immediately preceding citation.]
The balance of the 51 page letter plus subsequent communications elaborated and clarified the outrage supported by Order 1 of April 24, 2017. And Order 1 followed on City Councilors leading a rally for their own supposed environmental sainthood on the stairs of City Hall. The silence since our June 6, 2017 letter, combined with non stop yelling at the other guy, reaffirms the outrage, especially when observed in conjunction with that self-proclamation of environmental sainthood.

This evening, May 7, 2018, the Cambridge City Council is facing a motion concerning the future of a side street very central in Harvard Square. Here are my comments on the motion.
Harvard Square / Palmer Street is one of the many locations in or near Cambridge which have seen environmental outrages from the Cambridge Development Department and the Cambridge City Council.
I place the outrage on Palmer Street in the context of the record of a highly destructive “planning” department.
This communication will not be formally viewed by the Cambridge City Council until their next formal meeting. Complicating the situation, on looking at the motion more closely, I note that I am excessively positive about the motion. That is a trouble of mine. I try to think well of these people, and it frequently is a mistake.

Gentlemen / Ladies:
Vice Mayor Devereux, Councilor Mallon and Mayor McGovern are to be commended for Order 6 on May 7, 2018. It is my hope that order 6 passes.
The three movants stand out because, as near as I can remember, none of them have dirty hands on this matter.
Cambridge’s irresponsible “Planning” Department with, I would anticipate, support of the then City Manager and City Council, destroyed every tree on Palmer Street. The explanation then was that the trees blocked the sun.
This is an excellent example of the lack of fitness for their jobs which has for too long been demonstrated by the Cambridge Development Department.
Similar outrages include:
1. Destruction of 3.4 acres plus of the irreplaceable Silver Maple Forest at Alewife.
2. Destruction of the excellent grove on the Cambridge Common at the entrance from Harvard Square.
3. Support for and participation in planning of the destruction of hundreds of almost all excellent trees by the Department of Conservation and Recreation on Memorial Drive between the BU and Longfellow Bridges in January 2016.
4. Rather obvious drafting of the outrageous City Council Order 1 of April 24, 2017 supporting the destruction of an additional 56 mostly excellent trees at Magazine Beach, along with multiple destruction of habitat and retention of truly outrageous examples of malfeasance in office. Friends of the White Geese debunked the blatant lie of “dead or dying” used in that motion in our June 6, 2017 letter which ran 51 pages with more than a hundred graphics debunking that outrageous nonsense. We have followed with multiple updates and expansions of the June 6 letter.
5. Multiple outrages of the 2000's at Magazine Beach a significant part of the which is very clearly deliberate and heartless animal abuse, and including BUT NOT LIMITED TO the Starvation Wall of 16 foot high buses which the DCR admits is hated by the public but which the DCR and the fake protectors refuse to undo. The DCR with CAMBRIDGE MANAGEMENT OF THE PROJECT turned playing fields on the Charles River to a situation essentially identical to being ten miles from the Charles River.
Whatever is going on with the boat dock renovation is still unclear. The fake group involved routinely keeps Charles River discussions out of public view while FALSELY bragging about the great job they are doing. The falsehoods go so far as censorship by them of their listserve by expelling person or persons even OFFERING TO express ideas which conflict with the party line.
Traditionally, pretty much every initiative on the Charles River has ramped up the heartless animal abuse. The dock renovations were consistently and repeated lied to be new work. The current City Manager is to be commended for correcting the falsehoods which surrounded “new work” lies, and publicly describing the “new work” as renovation.
Three piles of sand, apparently dumped in the Magazine Beach parking lot by Cambridge, have been spread over portions of the playing fields other than used as part of the Dock Project. This use on other parts of the playing fields is a use whose justification and funding is unknown to me. The sand was marked with signs apparently from the Cambridge DPW.
TEMPORARY lowering of the Starvation Wall by volunteers resulted in stubs which so far (and in combination with other obstructions) continue the deliberate starvation of the Charles River White Geese. The photos I have provided you indicate that within six years, with the routine DCR non maintenance, the blockage of view of the Charles River will be returned to previously IN THE TINY PORTION OF THE STARVATION WALL AFFECTED by the volunteer efforts.
Those continued stubs are rather clear proof of the dishonesty of the diagram upon which funding was based, which showed unbroken ground surrounding the dock rendered useless in the 2000's, with addition of what appears to be a large concrete monstrosity.
Signs of algae infestation have appeared between the playing field and the starvation wall resulting from the blocking of the poison drainage ditches by fake protectors acting as agents for the DCR. This project clearly has received support from Cambridge because I saw DPW trucks picking up the residue from the attacks on free vegetation which fed on poisons draining through that poison drainage ditch. DCR love for use of poisons has also resulted in an annual algae infestation of the Charles River.
I could go on.
The short of it is that the Development Department destroyed every tree on Palmer Street as part of a continuing record of environmental destructiveness. This action, according to the CDD, was because they found blockage of the sun by trees unacceptable. That action almost certainly was blessed by the then City Manager and City Council.
And the destruction of every tree on Palmer Street related to this public expression of contempt for this normal function of trees directly conflicts with constant proclamations of love for trees by the Cambridge City Council.
At minimum, it would be nice to see trees on Palmer Street.

I am in a bind. Phil has filed a report following up on my recent posts concerning dumping of sand in a parking lot at Magazine Beach, apparently by the City of Cambridge, and on Fake Protectors blocking poison drainage ditches. I have started the report with extended background analysis of these problems. I gave up on the background analyses because they became so long that they wiped out the updates.

Here is a repeat of my marked up of a Massachusetts Department of Transportation photo which I cropped to make it only show the Magazine Beach playing fields.
The Starvation Wall lines the Charles with exactly one opening, the brown gap we have marked “II” in dark blue toward the bottom right.
The “I” is our indication of the direction of the piles of sand. It is placed in the parking lot near that blocked boat dock, but actually the sand was slightly further higher and not really in the photo.
Toward the middle of the photo is an area marked with “II.” That is the blocked poison drainage system.
Here is Phil’s Photo of the sand piles, apparently dumped there by the City of Cambridge. Toward the left rear is the “bridge” which really functions to block use of the boat dock.
And my now stock photo of the blocked poison drainage system. Phil knows the technical terms. He uses the word “swales” for what I call “poison drainage systems.”

Phil reports that the sand has been completely dispersed, and NONE of it has gone in the area of the boat dock which is where I thought it would go.
Phil has marked up the photos, and provides other comments. My comments are in brackets.

The fearsome Phragmites are making a dynamic comeback, spiking up everywhere, even through some of the ugly black tarps! [Sarcasm.]
The algae is blooming already in the stagnant standing water (this view is just below the baseball diamond)
[Another “achievement: Algae growing in the water prevented from draining by the tarps blocking the drainage. Algae is another “achievement” of the Department of Conservation and Recreation. The Charles River sees an annual blight of it which dates back to a year when the DCR decided that their beloved poisons were not doing a good enough job at Ebersol Fields near Massachusetts General Hospital, perhaps a mile downriver from Magazine Beach. So they dumped poisons marked “Do not use near water.” The annual blight started the next day? This algae is yet another example of terrible achievements by a terrible bureaucracy and its robots. But now, Cambridge is apparently getting openly involved.
[Responsible solution: Replace DCR with Massachusetts Department of Transportation. The DCR is way beneath the level of competence appropriate for the job. The apparent involvement of the Cambridge Development Department, adds to the common sense of bringing in MassDOT. And, of course, the Fake Protector have very strong opinions. They go to DCR and CDD to find out what those very strong opinions are.]

The mounds of sand we saw have been spread out over all the playing fields.
A (possibly) experimental trench was cut at the edge of one of the swales, where the earth under the turf appears to have been mixed with sand.
[The blue fence to the left is around the baseball fields. Since the BU buildings are in the background, this sand is between the playing fields and the blocked poison drainage ditch, probably west of the prior photo. The first of these two photos the blocked poison drainage system in the rear.]
C. Other observations.
[This] photo shows one of the two oddly domed drains at the bottom of the field. Don't know if they go into the river or the sewer system

There are also red and green tags tied to a number of the small saplings in the other swale. The red (for removal?) are all Norway maples as far as I can tell, with sugar maples tagged in green (to keep?). All are younger specimens.

The Cambridge City Manager in his budget for the fiscal year starting July corrects the lies being put out that the boat dock work is a “new” boat dock. He describes it as upgrading work.
Nevertheless, the signs which were next to the sand when dumped definitely look like Cambridge DPW (Department of Public Works), and the City Manager does not seem to report work away from the boat dock, such as Phil reports.

Charles River: Destruction + whatever proceeds on Magazine Beach

1. Introduction.
Phil Barber and I visited Magazine Beach and took photos, him on Friday, April 27, me on Saturday, April 28.
His are much higher quality than mine.
To put this report into context, here, again, is my Magazine Beach Playing Fields crop of a major photo in the environmental papers on the work proposed for I90 on the opposite, Boston, side of the Charles River. It is marked as relevant to this report.
Markings translate as follows:
I Main Magazine Beach parking lot, grey area at far right. The sand is above the mark. The doomed tree is to the right of the area visible, and further away from the water than the sand in Phil’s photo.
II Area of construction for new / old dock effort.

2. Allegedly “new” boat dock, doomed and excellent tree.
Here are three new piles of sand observed and photographed by Phil on Friday:
Barely visible to the left and above the sand is the fake bridge which prevents access to the Boat Dock of the 2000's. Two trees are visible, each with a pretty much identical sign.
Here is the sign.
This looks like a Cambridge sign. Judging from the DPW markings, it would appear that Cambridge is doing the work for the Department of Conservation and Recreation. “DPW” would refer to the Cambridge Department of Public Works.
Here is a file photo of the area around the introduced bridge at the parking lot: This wall of vegetation was clearly put in place to starve the Charles River White Geese.
The bridge visible in Phil’s photo is to the right of the brownish item in the middle. Tbat brownish item is at the left of Phil’s photo. All that lovely vegetation was installed AFTER the DCR and Cambridge realized that the Charles River White Geese were having the nerve to return to this portion of their 37 year habitat TO FEED. The DCR, with Cambridge’s enthusiastic support is driving away / killing all resident animals on this portion of the Charles River.
Most of the rest of the photos are mine, from April 29, plus file and other photos as stated.
First of all, here is my photo of the same piles of sand taken from the opposite direction. Phil’s photo is, excellent, including the color. My photo is not correct as far as the color goes.
I am giving you this photo because one of the 56 doomed trees is to the right of this photo, pretty close to the location of the car.
Here is that doomed tree, one of the 56 which the Cambridge City Council voted to destroy on April 24, 2018, in Order 1, right after the environmental self-sanctification on the steps of Cambridge City Hall. This tree looks downright excellent to me, but so do so the vast majority of the trees the Cambridge City Council, DCR and friends want to destroy.
It is starting to bud very much in all the areas you can see. It has been pruned of what must be presumed to have been dead appendages.
The latest destruction plans ARE SECRET. The fake protectors do not show them even to their fake protective group. The fake protectors have repeatedly lies that they are not destroying trees, and public discussion of the destruction for is censored as strongly as they censored the destruction of the hundreds of trees they succeeded in destroying between the BU and Longfellow Bridges.
Even if the plan were not secret, TENTATIVE plans not made part of the public record amount to the word of people with records of lack of veracity. Need I say more? Additionally, one of the cons of people like this are floating “plans.” They can force well intentioned folks to chase their tales trying to be accurate. There is accuracy. The accuracy is the FILED DESTRUCTION PLANS.
Here is what passes for the plan for the “new” boat dock and looks line the old one with additions, perhaps to get closer to what should not have been destroyed in the 2000's. One thing which is very clear is that it looks very big, perhaps it blocks the opening in addition to the Starvation Wall blocking the rest?
Here is a photo of the introduced / blocking bridge from about a week or so ago. It does not appear on this plan, but then neither does all the roots which show in and follow this photo.

That opening could very easily be blocked by this supposed “new” dock. The chopped portions of the Starvation Wall will regrow in six years, but the bad guys will brag about “improvements.”

Here is my photo of the latest view of the fake protectors blocking of the poison drainage system (III in the first map).
We have had very heavy rain. Phil reports: “The denuded area is deeply underwater again after the latest heavy rain.”
Less than a day later, most of that deep water was gone. The fake protectors have the poison drainage system blocked. The poisons and the water containing them obviously poured into the Charles River.

Phil Barber and I visited Magazine Beach and took photos, him on Friday, April 27, me on Saturday, April 28.
His are much higher quality than mine.
To put this report into context, here, again, is my Magazine Beach Playing Fields crop of a major photo in the environmental papers on the work proposed for I90 on the opposite, Boston, side of the Charles River. It is marked as relevant to this report.
Markings translate as follows:
I Main Magazine Beach parking lot, grey area at far right. The sand is above the mark. The doomed tree is to the right of the area visible, and further away from the water than the sand in Phil’s photo.

2. Allegedly “new” boat dock, doomed and excellent tree.
Here are three new piles of sand observed and photographed by Phil on Friday:
Barely visible to the left and above the sand is the fake bridge which prevents access to the Boat Dock of the 2000's. Two trees are visible, each with a pretty much identical sign.
Here is the sign.
This looks like a Cambridge sign. Judging from the DPW markings, it would appear that Cambridge is doing the work for the Department of Conservation and Recreation. “DPW” would refer to the Cambridge Department of Public Works.
Here is a file photo of the area around the introduced bridge at the parking lot: This wall of vegetation was clearly put in place to starve the Charles River White Geese.
The bridge visible in Phil’s photo is to the right of the brownish item in the middle. Tbat brownish item is at the left of Phil’s photo. All that lovely vegetation was installed AFTER the DCR and Cambridge realized that the Charles River White Geese were having the nerve to return to this portion of their 37 year habitat TO FEED. The DCR, with Cambridge’s enthusiastic support is driving away / killing all resident animals on this portion of the Charles River.

First of all, here is my photo of the same piles of sand taken from the opposite direction. Phil’s photo is, excellent, including the color. My photo is not correct as far as the color goes.
I am giving you this photo because one of the 56 doomed trees is to the right of this photo, pretty close to the location of the car.
Here is that doomed tree, one of the 56 which the Cambridge City Council voted to destroy on April 24, 2018, in Order 1, right after the environmental self-sanctification on the steps of Cambridge City Hall. This tree looks downright excellent to me, but so do so the vast majority of the trees the Cambridge City Council, DCR and friends want to destroy.
It is starting to bud very much in all the areas you can see. It has been pruned of what must be presumed to have been dead appendages.
The latest destruction plans ARE SECRET. The fake protectors do not show them even to their fake protective group. The fake protectors have repeatedly lies that they are not destroying trees, and public discussion of the destruction for is censored as strongly as they censored the destruction of the hundreds of trees they succeeded in destroying between the BU and Longfellow Bridges.
Even if the plan were not secret, TENTATIVE plans not made part of the public record amount to the word of people with records of lack of veracity. Need I say more? Additionally, one of the cons of people like this are floating “plans.” They can force well intentioned folks to chase their tales trying to be accurate. There is accuracy. The accuracy is the FILED DESTRUCTION PLANS.
Here is what passes for the plan for the “new” boat dock and looks line the old one with additions, perhaps to get closer to what should not have been destroyed in the 2000's. One thing which is very clear is that it looks very big, perhaps it blocks the opening in addition to the Starvation Wall blocking the rest?
Here is a photo of the introduced / blocking bridge from about a week or so ago. It does not appear on this plan, but then neither does all the roots which show in and follow this photo.

That opening could very easily be blocked by this supposed “new” dock. The chopped portions of the Starvation Wall will regrow in six years, but the bad guys will brag about “improvements.”
