Update, August 8, 2014.  This bill was renumbered H4009.  It calls for $32 million for destruction.

The Senate / House combination is in front of the governor who needs to veto or sign in the next few days.

It is called the Environment Bond Bill.  The bad language from H4009 is H4009, section 2C, 2890-7020.  The euphemism is "Historical Parkways."

One very recent post is http://charlesriverwhitegeeseblog.blogspot.com/2014/08/bill-on-mass-governors-desk-for-massive_7.html.

1. Report.

As promised, following are the plans submitted by the state bureaucrats the last time they tried to destroy these hundreds of trees on the Charles River between the BU and Longfellow Bridges.

Last time, the bureaucrats lied that all the trees were diseased and said that justified Obama moneys. They, however, proved the lie a lie by their filings in the City of Cambridge, plus based on the knowledge of the plans. Note the cover page says Phase 2. Phase 1 was the destruction of the diseased trees they lied were the target of Phase 2.

This time, the destruction has been part of outrageous misbehavior by the Cambridge Machine and the related, and falsely named Charles River “Conservancy”.

The Charles River “Conservancy” has run around getting signatures in support of underpasses under the next three bridges over the Charles River, without telling folks that the underpasses were linked to this massive destruction of trees to which has been applied yet another con name, Historical Parkways.

The three underpasses they have been talking about are opposed as environmentally destructive by the responsible entity, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation.

When Governor Patrick included all the destruction in his bond request, Massachusetts House Bill 3332, the CRC disclosed the dirty tricks. They publicized the fact that it was all one package, with $4 million for the “underpasses” and $24 million for the associated highways, the destruction of all those trees.

The Cambridge Machine jumped on the bandwagon supporting the “underpasses” with all their trappings.

The Cambridge Machine has created their own group which has lied about its love for the Charles River. They just call it anti Charles River to look at the destruction. They call it anti Charles River to look at anything other than a building which has not been used for 80 years. They want retail, retail, retail.

The Cambridge Machine proved themselves to be liars in their order to become monkeys with their hands over their eyes. The bureaucrats who have been in the middle of all the destruction wanted to expand the destruction at Magazine Beach, including Governor Patrick’s highway project.

The Machine presented plans at a meeting in January 2013, saw they might not win, and deferred the action to the February 2013 meeting which they conducted on April 23, 2013, driving away people responsibly concerned about the Charles River.

They then proceeded to ram through a rubber stamp by confining discussion to the last ten minutes of the meeting and keeping a very complicated vote secret. Of course, if you can read pages of legalize, understand it all, communicate in ten minutes, and, in the same ten minutes, get back the folks who were driven away, then what the Cambridge Machine did was something other than blatant corruption.

But the world lives in reality. The Cambridge Machine, a typical company union, lives in whatever lie works.

A major part of these company union tactics is to prevent discussion of a whole bunch of destruction by their friends, including this outrage, which they supported in the corrupt vote and in their support of the “underpasses.” And, as a good company union, they, of course have lied of their love of the Charles River, thus preempting responsible action on this matter.

Here are the plans the bureaucrats and their friends have been keeping as secret as they can. The plans start at the BU Bridge and go to the Longfellow Bridge. At the Longfellow Bridge, they link to the irresponsible destruction of excellent trees as part of the Longfellow Bridge project.

The same silence as consent, of course, applies to the falsely named Charles River “Conservancy.” When I publicly caught their bragging of this massive destruction, they suddenly got interested in a whole bunch of other things. The same company union gig, and really, it is silly to consider this destructive entity separate from the Cambridge Machine. They are performing the destructive function. They have the support of the rotten organization, and function ancillary to it, they just are doing damage elsewhere as well. That is they way things are done in the City of Cambridge, MA, USA.

The City of Cambridge has provided assistance by destroying excellent trees east of the BU Boathouse and across from the Hyatt Regency hotel. The BU Boathouse is just east of the Destroyed Nesting Area of the Charles River White Geese. As part of this destruction, they walled off the banks of the Charles at that point as part of the deliberate starvation of the Charles River White Geese. This destruction was accomplished at the same time as the initial walling off of Magazine Beach, all part of the game.

And nothing is destroyed in the environment in Cambridge without participation by the City of Cambridge, employees of whom the Cambridge Machine lives to please. And the Cambridge Machine protects the elected pols. Their pitch is that the last thing anybody should do is talk to the folks with the power to hire and fire the City Manager.

And the Cambridge City Council get abridged copies of all these reports by email.

We have previously provided photos of the excellent grove at the Memorial Drive split which is being destroyed. One of the photos is at the top. All of those photos are at http://charlesriverwhitegeeseblog.blogspot.com/2014/03/charles-river-magnificent-grove.html.

The current photos are being saved at a size less than used in this prior posting, hopefully to prevent an overload of this blog entry.

2. Post Script.

The following information was provided to Governor Deval Patrick through his email form at about noon time on April 2. Comparable communications have been provided to each member of the Cambridge City Council and to other interested entities.

Plans posted for Massive Tree Destruction on Charles River pending in Legislature.

The Department of Conservation and Recreation, based on past coordination with the City of Cambridge has $24 million in the Governor’s Request for Bond Authorization for destruction of hundreds of trees on Memorial Drive between the Longfellow and BU Bridges.

This is House Bill H3332. The euphemism is Historical Parkways.

Destruction plans are posted at http://charlesriverwhitegeeseblog.blogspot.com/2014/04/tree-destruction-plans-charles-river.html.

When this bill was filed, the falsely named Charles River “Conservancy” announced this $24 million request for bond authorization as ancillary to $4 million for underpasses under the next three bridges which they said was also in the bond request. $24 million is ancillary to $4 million?

The plans for destruction are posted at http://charlesriverwhitegeeseblog.blogspot.com/2014/04/tree-destruction-plans-charles-river.html. These are the plans submitted by the DCR when the DCR was seeking Obama moneys. At that time, the DCR called all the trees diseased, a flat out lie. That proposal and this bond authorization request are “phase 2" of the destruction. Phase 1 was the destruction of diseased trees.
