Tonight, April 10, 2014, at 6:30 pm, Massachusetts transportation planners will present plans for the rearrangement of the Massachusetts Turnpike (I90) in the area where Harvard is maneuvering to move its Medical School and other facilities.
The meeting will be conducted in Union Square in the Allston neighborhood of Boston, in the Jackson-Mann School.
Irresponsible bicycle activists are being called out to work as the stalking horse.
It is impossible to tell at this point the level to which the planning is above board, except that it is very clear the destructive bicycle activists will be shafted.
Governor Patrick’s $24 million in House Bill H3332 to destroy hundreds of trees between the BU Bridge and the Longfellow Bridge is part of the package. The destruction of these trees makes Memorial Drive converted to highway standards to accept the new off ramp’s traffic.
